Pool Party Games For Kids To Try

Pool party games for kids are a great way for them to enjoy the warm weather and get some exercise with their friends. Planning various games in advance can help you keep everyone busy and minimize the chance that someone might get bored.

Because everyone loves to win a prize, you might want to consider going to a discount store and pick up a few prizes for the winners of the game. It is also a good idea to have little trinkets for everyone who attends your event. Water related prizes are a great idea to go with the theme of the day. Things such as water noodles, water balloons, beach balls, and swimming masks are often a big hit.

Children's ages will play a role in the activities that you choose however, there are some activities that are quite popular a frequently used in these events. Most children enjoy the opportunity to dive under the water for a hidden treasure. To play this game, you would simply divide your guests into a couple of teams and have them collect as many treasures as possible as quickly as they can. The team with the most treasures when the time is up is the winner.

Rubber ducky races are also a great way to have fun and quite popular with children of all ages. Simply get a few rubber duckies, take a colored marker and mark a number on their back. Have each child race through the water as quickly as they can from one side to the other using only their nose to move the duck along. The first person to get the rubber ducky all the way to the other side is declared the winner.

There are a lot of great floating games now available. Basketball, golf and tennis are among the many options now available to choose from nowadays. These activities would follow the same rules used on land.

Ice cube races can be fun to do. Put ice cubes into your water, then break your guests up into teams and have them try to collect as many ice cubes as they can before they melt. The children should only use their feet to pick up the ice cubes. The first team to get the most are declared winners.

Water relays can be a lot of fun. Divide the children into teams and pick an item of your choice to have them race back and forth through the water. The first team to get to the finish line first wins. You can use any number of items for the race, a lot of people like to push watermelons, water noodles or beach balls but, the choices are endless, just use your imagination.

Always ensure that when you are planning pool party games for kids that you calculate how many children will be present and that you have enough adults to help you watch everyone that is there. It is a good idea to have an adult designated to stand on each corner around the pool to ensure that all the children can be seen at all times. It is also a good idea to limit the number of people in the water if you have a large crowd, having the water over crowded can make it difficult to keep track of everyone.
