More and more people today have become more conscious of their physical health. Some wish to look great in any outfit, some want to have a buff body. There are four known types of the game. There is one for men, one for women, box lacrosse, and intercrosse. Players of this game are required to wear padding, except for the women. Box lacrosse is a modified version of that of men field, played indoors in a smaller arena especially during bad weather where it is impossible to play outside. Intercrosse, on the other hand, is a non contact form of the game.

People play this sport for many different reasons, one is to being mentally healthy. This sport encourages the use of mental faculties to think of ways to win the game. Also, an hour or so of rigorous play is equal to a dose of antidepressant, according to experts. Playing will make your body release endorphin to allow you to be in a good mood.

Since lacrosse is a contact form of team sports, this will help you develop your social skills. You will have to interact wit people both in your team and in the opposing team. Camps are also good places to make new acquaintances and to extend your social circle.

This sport also helps you burn calories and keep your weight in check. You sweat out a lot from those hours of play. You move your entire body during the game. Indeed, this is like working out without feeling like working out. This is a good way for obese people to get rid of all those excess fats and become slimmer.

It also develops muscle strength. Lacrosse requires the use of both hands and feet during the day. Every time you brandish your stick in an attempt to capture the ball, you are working on your arm muscles. All those running will also tone legs. This is a great way to look good without too much effort.

Sports camps, not only for this game, can benefit you in lots of other ways. Most of them are open for the summer in almost every city of every state. You just have to find one whom you like and you are off to a fun filled journey to health.
